Wrath of God is a series of paintings made at IASPIS in Stockholm during a residency n 2006-07.

These paintings were all made in one session and in response to a set of biblical illustrations by Gustave Doré in the 19th century. I choose the illustrations portraying situations in the bible where God’s anger towards humanity is violent beyond logic. It is an anger and violence that is hard to comprehend and seems to go beyond the crime it wants to punish. Homophobia follows a similar logic. That is to say that the violence and rage which often ignites homophobic acts of violence follow the same logic of incomprehensibility. Wrath of God or WOG is also the name of viruses or diseases which haunt humankind at times for no apparent reason as well as a racial slur.

Wrath of God was shown at Brändström & Stene in Stockholm 2007, and at Oslo Konstförening a year later in 2008.

During a residency in Lima some of these works were shown at Proyectoamil in 2016
